Ceremonial Robe – Witness

A reinterpretation of the biblical ‘hairshirt’ (a garment historically worn for self-flagellation). Seen here as a ritual device, built to extract shame from a the body through cathartic pain. The accompanying robe, composed of cotton and metal frames, functions as a celebration of the marked body.
